Privacy Policy

Effective date: 22 September 2026

Who is responsible

Patterns Inc, located at Mumbai, 400022, India, operates Nuro and is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact meetnuro@gmail.com for privacy questions or requests. This policy covers the Nuro app and communications you send to its support team.

Information Nuro handles

Account information. Nuro creates a pseudonymous account identifier on first use. If you choose to link or recover an account, we process your email address and authentication information. A pseudonymous identifier is not the same as data that cannot be linked to a person.

Gameplay and app activity. We store progress, scores, attempts, game results, virtual balances and transactions, achievements, selected in-app equipment, streaks, and relevant challenge or competitive records. We also process focus-session and timed-break records needed to operate the app. These records are associated with your account.

Subscriptions. Apple handles App Store payments. RevenueCat processes subscription and purchase history, transaction/product identifiers, your app account identifier, trial and entitlement status, and related store information to validate purchases, restore access and provide subscription reporting. We do not receive your full payment-card number or bank credentials from these purchases.

Screen Time choices. Your selected application/category tokens are stored locally using Apple's Screen Time frameworks and the shared storage used by Nuro's extensions. Nuro's current implementation does not upload those selection tokens or a list of selected apps to our backend. Locally displayed Screen Time reports are distinct from the gameplay and break records stored on our servers.

Device storage and preferences. The app keeps authentication state, preferences, cached display data, notification settings and recovery information on your device. Relevant extensions share local protection state. Notifications are used for the reminders you enable.

Support and technical information. If you contact us, we receive the message and information you choose to provide. Our service providers may process network information such as IP addresses, request timestamps, device/software information and security or operational logs when delivering the service. Please do not send passwords, one-time sign-in codes or full payment details to support.

Crash and performance diagnostics. We use Sentry to process application errors, stack traces, technical device/software contexts and sampled performance measurements to investigate failures and improve reliability. Our app does not assign your account identity to Sentry. Session replay, screenshots and automatic console/UI breadcrumbs are disabled.

Product analytics. We use PostHog to understand onboarding, membership conversion and use of app features. Product events are linked to your app account identifier after sign-in, and we add the email associated with your account to your analytics profile. We include your saved optional age-group and gender categories to understand onboarding and feature use, including activity before sign-in. We add these categories to your analytics profile after sign-in. We do not include free-text gender descriptions, other onboarding answers or selected-app identities in these events. Session replay is disabled.

Why we use information

We use account and activity information to operate Nuro, save progress, authenticate access, calculate and confirm rewards, restore subscriptions and maintain fair play. We use purchase information for billing support and subscription analytics. We use support and technical information to respond to requests, secure accounts, investigate failures and comply with applicable obligations.

Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our agreement for core account and subscription functions; legitimate interests in service reliability, security, fraud prevention and appropriate business analysis; consent where required for optional processing; and legal obligations for required recordkeeping or disclosures. You can withdraw consent where it is the basis for processing, without affecting processing before withdrawal.

Who receives information

We use Supabase for backend database and account services, RevenueCat for subscription infrastructure and reporting, Sentry for crash and performance diagnostics, and PostHog for product analytics. Hosting, authentication-email and support providers process information as needed for their services under our arrangements. We require providers handling information on our behalf to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law. Apple separately handles App Store transactions and platform services under its own policies.

Other players may see your chosen display name, appearance, scores, ranking and competitive results where those features are available. Your account email is not intended to be displayed to other players. When you choose to export or share content, the destination you select receives that content under its own practices.

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or carry out a business transfer with appropriate safeguards and notice. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app targeted advertising. If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide any required choices before starting that processing.

Storage, international processing and security

Our backend database and account services (Supabase), crash diagnostics (Sentry) and product analytics (PostHog) are hosted in the United States. Our providers may also process information in other countries. Where required, we use an appropriate transfer mechanism and safeguards; contact meetnuro@gmail.com for information relevant to your location.

We use access controls and service protections intended to reduce unauthorised access. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. You should protect your device and any email address linked to Nuro.

Retention and account deletion

Account and progress information is generally kept while your account is active and needed to provide the service. You can initiate account deletion from Nuro's privacy controls, including from the membership screen without a paid subscription. Active games, breaks or pending activities may first require settlement; contact meetnuro@gmail.com if this prevents your request.

Deletion removes the app account and associated operational data through the account-deletion process. Some competitive records may remain without the deleted account's identity. A hashed deletion acknowledgement is retained to allow interrupted cleanup to finish. Provider records, backups and legally required records may remain for their applicable retention periods; deletion from Nuro does not erase Apple's independent transaction records or cancel your subscription.

Our operational retention schedule is: technical logs up to 30 days; backups up to 30 days; support correspondence up to 2 years after the conversation ends; subscription and other legally required records up to 8 years, as required by Indian tax and accounting law; deletion acknowledgements up to 1 year. When you delete your account, we ask each service provider that holds your information to delete it within 30 days, unless it must be kept by law. Records retained for a legal requirement are restricted to that purpose where applicable.

Your choices and rights

You can optionally link an email address, change supported preferences, manage notification and Screen Time permissions in iOS, export account data in the app, and request account deletion. Cancel subscriptions separately through your Apple Account: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a data-protection authority. Contact meetnuro@gmail.com. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity and will respond within applicable legal deadlines. We will not require you to purchase a subscription to exercise these rights.

Children

Nuro is intended for people aged 13 and older, subject to any additional permissions required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that threshold. If you believe a child below that age has provided information, contact meetnuro@gmail.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action. An App Store content rating does not by itself verify a user's age.

Changes and contact

We will update the effective date when this policy changes and provide additional notice where required. Privacy contact: meetnuro@gmail.com. Postal contact: Patterns Inc, Mumbai, 400022, India.
